Long-tail keyword

A long-tail keyword is a longer, more specific phrase that fewer people search, but whose shoppers know exactly what they want. They usually cost less per click and convert better.

Example

“Cutting board” is broad and competitive. “Large bamboo cutting board with juice groove” is long-tail. Fewer people search it, but the shopper who does is much closer to buying.
